This butterfly, by flapping its wings, can influence events very far away. How? I dunno. You should probably ask Jeff Goldblum.
Type: combat / usable item
Selling Price: 124 Meat.
(In-game plural: chaos butterflies)
Drop Location
When Used
- From inventory
- You hold the Chaos Butterfly aloft. It flaps its wings. It vanishes, but not before something... changes.
- (Causes random loss or gain of stats or meat)
- In combat
- You use the chaos butterfly.
- You point the Chaos Butterfly at your opponent. It flaps its wings, and reality is altered in unpredictable ways.
Effect
- When used in combat, it will either lower or increase the monster's Attack or Defense by about +/-17
References
- A reference to the famous chaos theory concept known as "the butterfly effect", where small changes in variables can cause a great change in outcome (as in a butterfly flapping its wings affecting weather hundreds of miles away).
- The comment about Jeff Goldblum references the film Jurassic Park, where Jeff Goldblum plays scientist Ian Malcolm, who specializes in chaos theory.
