This is a round sphere about the size of a tennis ball, with one hemisphere fashioned from the purest, most flawless quartz crystal, and the other hemisphere made of rich, dark red jasper. This sort of magical orb is commonly used to store some manner of ghost or spirit until it's needed later.

Don't worry, I'm sure it's very nice in there, and not at all like being forcibly trapped in a tiny featureless prison.

When Used

• Use (empty, no pasta guardian):

  You concentrate momentarily, focusing on the link between you and your companion spirit. Nothing happens, probably because you aren't currently linked to any companion spirits. This is a little embarrassing, and you hope nobody you know saw you.

• Use (empty, with pasta guardian):

  You concentrate momentarily, focusing on the link between you and <name>. You feel an odd sensation, like a little mental *pop!* as you feel the connection between the two of you break, and the <entity> appears inside the spirit orb and looks around in confusion.

• Use (full, no other pasta guardian):

  Concentrating on the spirit orb, you shout "<name>! I choose you!" The image of the <entity> vanishes from the crystal sphere, and you feel the link between the two of you re-establish itself.

• Use (full, with another pasta guardian):

  Concentrating on the spirit orb, you shout "<name1> I choose you!" The image of the <entity1> vanishes from the crystal sphere, and you feel a brief mental struggle as <name1> re-establishes its link to you and <name2> is displaced into the crystal sphere. Looking into the orb, you see the image of the <entity2> looking around confused.

• Look (empty):

  You peer into the crystal orb, but don't see anything unusual in there.

• Look (full):

  You peer into the crystal orb, and can just make out the hazy outline of <name>, your <entity>.

Notes

• Acts as a storage for Pasta Guardians.
• While you have a pasta guardian in the orb, you can make a connection with a different one. Subsequently you can exchange the two.
• Pasta guardians don't lose their level when placed in orb or taken from it.
