When Used

• First time in an ascension, or at least three days after a previous wand exploded:

You open the chest. You find a wand inside it. No wonder that mimic was so uptight!

• Otherwise:

You open the chest. There's all kinds of stuff inside it:

You acquire 10−14 Dungeons of Doom potions and You acquire an item: ring of adornment or You acquire an item: ring of aggravate monster or You acquire an item: ring of cold resistance or You acquire an item: ring of conflict or You acquire an item: ring of fire resistance or You acquire an item: ring of gain strength or You acquire an item: ring of increase damage

Notes

• If used without a wand in inventory, randomly drops one of the above wands (all of which are functionally identical). Note that a wand will not drop if your previous wand exploded less than 3 days ago.
• If used with a wand in inventory, or if your last wand exploded within the last 3 days, randomly drops some Dungeons of Doom potions and a random ring.
• As long as you use a mimic more than 3 days after your previous wand exploded, you will be able to get a wand, even if the mimic was acquired before the 3 days have elapsed.

• This item resembles the dead mimic item from NetHack. A mimic will often take the form of a treasure chest or another seemingly valuable object to lure unsuspecting adventurers into its grasp.
• The use description refers to the common usage of "stick up his butt" to refer to someone who is uptight.
