• Also refers to Meatwad's infantile manner of speaking.
• Or it could just reference the fact that if you pronounce "hot rod" with a speech impediment it sounds like "hot wad".
• A speech impediment, like the one Meatwad has.
• Or Elmer Fudd, a more famous character who more distinctly pronounces his R's as W's, and specifically says "Hewwo" quite often.
