GOTO
GOTO

A GOTO is a programming language instruction designed to shunt the program to a different part of the code. You don't know where this particular one directs to, or what will happen if you use it on a physical creature, or how any of this is even the slightest bit possible, but it might be fun to find out.

When Used

You hurl the GOTO at your opponent, who vanishes with an electronic squelch. You then feel a tap on your shoulder, and turn around to see it standing behind you, looking confused and annoyed.

or

You hurl the GOTO at your opponent, who vanishes with an electronic squelch. Hopefully the subroutine you sent them to is somewhere far away.

Notes

  • Stuns the opponent for one round.

or

  • Allows you to run away from your opponent. An adventure is not consumed.
  • The free runaway effect appears to occur randomly, between 1/3 and 1/4 of the time.
  • Used by Subject 37 to escape from Cobb's Knob Menagerie.

References

In coding (such as the combat macros available in-game), a goto is a trigger to activate a subroutine (some sort of small or big action).
