• Djinn are spirits of Arabian mythology who were noted for offering three wishes to the people who freed them, better known in English as genies.
• The plural text is a reference to Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in which Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent are offered a "jynnan tonnix" by the imbecile captain of a doomed ship.
• The word "Finally!" refers to the numerous demands on the forums for gin and tonics--it was possibly the most requested new drink.
