- Headbutting is a fighting technique that uses the cranium to strike an opponent to cause injury or a knockout. And the the Police Department of Hubbard Township, Ohio seem to want to standardise the head butt -- only in America! In the UK, the head butt's comedy connection is via John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett's 1982 song Headbutts!, during live renditions of which Otway would head butt his microphone, risking physical injury but securing a sponsorship from Shure Microphones.
