Notes
- If Misterioso (Mis-te-rio-so) is pronounced without the diphthong (i.e. Mis-te-ri-o-so), the third line of the haiku has one too many syllables.
- The best known approximation of the formula for the hovering sombrero's stat gain is
.
- Sombrero vs Volleyball contains information about when Sombreros and Volleyball-type familiars are best for stat gains based on familiar weights and monster level. Incidentally, a Hovering Sombrero will beat a Volleyball of the same weight at monster level 70.
- Generally, tiny maracas give better stat gain than annoying pitchfork at Monster Levels above 50. A lead necklace is only superior to an annoying pitchfork from the The Castle in the Clouds in the Sky onwards. See annoying pitchfork for details.
- Before South of The Border was implemented, the Hovering Sombrero was Jick's seldomly seen personal familiar.
