There are ultimately three paths here, giving you 30 turns of one of three effects.

Your choice of three stat boosting adventures, or a little bit of meat. There are several different ways to get to a particular result, but here's at least one way for each:

Follow the indicated path to get win the nomination and get a reward. To obtain your own black heart, follow the nomination path in reverse.
