This is a recently-born sandworm -- a comparative rarity, given the infrequency with which adult sandworms get the opportunity to get it on. It is said that if a baby sandworm drinks enough tequila, it will secrete a powerful, hallucinogenic potion that lets you see into the distant past, the distant future, and the nearby present. Actually, you can already see into the nearby present, so never mind that part.

- Sandworms are creatures from Frank Herbert's science-fiction series Dune. The "hallucinogenic potion" is a reference to the "Water of Life" created by drowning a sandworm, ingesting the toxic excretions, and converting them internally into a nontoxic super-awareness elixir. The process of creating the Water of Life awakens in the converter the memories of past ancestors, and in the main character creates such super-awareness that he is able to predict the future in a mechanical Newtonian sense.
