How does insta-kill immunity work after the multiple stealth nerfs? What are the base formulas for att/def/HP before the body parts are applied? Is this monster immune to silent treatment?
You're fighting one of Doctor Weirdeaux's creations
This horrifying beast has the head of a Gorilla and the butt of a Penguin.
You think you can also identify some parts from a Snail and a Cheetah and a <not known> and a <not known> and a Wolf and a Cheetah and a Cheetah and a Hedgehog and a Hedgehog in there.
Hit Message(s):
It lets loose a wail that manages to be mournful and gurgly at the same time. You shudder. Argh! Eek! (spooky damage)
It either bites, claws, or stampedes your elbow. The fact that you can't tell which is pretty unnerving... Eek! Eek! (spooky damage)
It doesn't even attack you, you're just overcome by the horror of its very existence. Argh! Ooh! (spooky damage)
Critical Hit Message:
It opens a heavy eyelid somewhere on its horrific body and just... stares at you. It's... almost hopeful. Like it's just waiting for you to destroy it. You recoil in horror. Ooh! Ooh! (spooky damage)
Miss Message(s):
It pauses for a moment, paralyzed by the horror of its own existence.
Fumble Message:
It pauses for a moment, paralyzed by the horror of its own existence. (FUMBLE!)
This monster has randomly generated parts, which give it special abilities.
As you defeat more of these monsters, they get more powerful and begin to gain parts from more animals. An Agent Mauve can be used to reset the difficulty.
The first monster contains no body parts.
When a monster contains body parts, the intro will conclude with this message, with "and [a] <animal>" being repeated for each body part:
You think you can also identify some parts from [a] <animal> and [a] <animal> and [a] <animal>... in there.
The monster's initiative drops to 0 ("Never wins initiative") after the first round, so you can always run away from one if you survive the first round.
If the monster is stunned or staggered, most of its body parts will not act. The exception is the Wolf body part, which howls every round no matter what.
This monster has base 10% physical and elemental resistance. A single Elephant part in the body raises the elemental resistance to 60%; two Elephant parts in the body raise the elemental resistance to 100%.
The giraffe part of the creature leans down to bite you, but since you're not a bunch of leaves, it loses interest.
Frog
You can't use that item -- this thing would just snatch it from you with its horrifying frog tongue before you even got a chance to use it. (Blocks combat items)
Alligator
The alligator head on this thing bites you neatly in half.
