peppermint parasol
peppermint parasol

The reason this is called a peppermint parasol instead of an peppermint umbrella is that it's made of peppermint, so its functionality is much better in sunny situations than in rainy ones.

Recipe

peppermint parasol

When Used

You hold up the parasol, and a sudden freak gust of wind sends you hurtling through the air to safety.

(Automatic runaway, item is not consumed.)

After 3rd success per day: You're starting to get kinda queasy from all of this flying.

After 6th success per day: Okay, seriously, this flying is making you really queasy.

After 9th success per day: Eurgh. At this point, you're officially airsick.

After 10 cumulative successes: Man. That last gust was more than your parasol could handle. You throw away the shredded (but delicious-smelling) wreck that was once a useful tool. [item consumed]

Notes

  • Free runaway mechanic shares counter with navel/GAP. This counter resets daily.
  • Only successful free runaways increment the counter.
  • First 3 runaways per day are 100% free, afterwards runaways are 80% free until you've gotten 3 more successful ones, then 50% free until 3 more successful ones, then 20%.
  • On the 10th successful use, cumulative across all days, the item breaks.
