- Is automatically placed in your inventory for you at the beginning of your run, with the message:
You acquire an item: prismatic beret
- Grants the skills Beret Blast, Beret Boast, and Beret Busking.
- Changes name and enchantments based on the total Power of your currently-equipped defensive items (hat, shirt, pants) including the bonus from Tao of the Terrapin, and additional hats in Hat Trick.
- Gains more enchantments of growing strength with more total Power.
- DA is floor(power/5).
- Stats are floor(power/10) distributed equally in the order mysticality, muscle, moxie.
- HP and MP is floor(power/5) distributed equally between them HP first.
- Hat drops are floor(power/10)
- Resistance is floor(power/40) distributed equally in the order Hot, Cold, Spooky, Stench, Sleaze.
- Elemental damage is floor(power/10) distributed equally in the order Cold, Spooky, Stench, Sleaze, Hot.
- Elemental spell damage is floor(power/10) distributed equally in the order Sleaze, Stench, Spooky, Hot, Cold.
- Above ~1100 total power increases in enchantments begin to slow and color ranges become larger.
- Can potentially have no enchantments.
- The effect gained from Busking effects seem to change based on the Beret's current form.
- Beret names start at red colors and changes to orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, indigo, and ultraviolet with increasing total Power. Every 36 power until the softcap.
