PvP Season History
On May 1st 2012 a new PvP system was implemented. In this system PvP competition is broken up into seasons, each of which last for two months. The minigames which determine the outcome of PvP fights are changed at the start of each season, though minis from previous seasons can reappear. This page lists past seasons minigames, and other changes made to PvP rules since the 2012 revamp.
For details of the current season's minigames, see PvP.

- Most Things Eaten is not a test of the number of different things. You can eat 30 good brains and get 30 points.
- Not all of the obvious bosses count toward the Most Murderous mini. The list of eligible bosses is (almost?) the same as the list of badass pie donors for the Knob Goblin Organ Grinder. The Thing with No Name is known to count for PvP, but is unspaded for the grinder. Ed the Undying used to count at the beginning of season 2, but was changed multiple times; current status unknown.
- Sooooper Sneaky reports +combat modifiers as negative values, making it a great way to spade both kinds of combat frequency modifier (or just to check which ballroom song you have active).
- Everything Looks Yellow (or Red) and On the Trail count against Purity, even though they are not decremented by PvP fights. Timers do not count against Purity.
- Faxed (and/or copied) war hippies and frats count toward the What is it Good For? mini, even if the war is over.

Rule Changes
Stat Minigames (S2)
- In Season 1 the first round of the fight was always Adventurer's Prowess, and there was a chance that the defender would defend with a stat other than the one the attacker chose. So, for instance, the burninating attacker may have had his Mysticality compared to the defending Muscle or Moxie. This was intentional and reflected in the combat text.
- The second round was always Adventurer's Flexibility, unless the attacker chose to Ballyhoo.
Minigame | Explanation |
---|---|
Adventurer's Flexibility | One of the stats you did not choose to attack with is chosen randomly, the higher buffed stat wins. |
- From Season 2 onwards Adventurer's Prowess is the first round if you choose to attack with a stat. Choosing to Ballyhoo results in no Stat minigames, and Adventurer's Flexibility was removed.
Perfect Win Bonus (S2)
- From Season 2 onwards attackers gained an extra point of Swagger if they win every minigame in a fight against a random opponent.
Effect Decrementing (S2)
- From the Beginning of Season 1 to Aug 17th 2012, PvP fights would decrement all effect counters. From Aug 17th 2012 this was changed to exclude some effects.
- The effects excluded were: Teleportitis, On the Trail, Absinthe-Minded, Form of...Cockroach!, Shape of...Mole!, Form of...Bird!, Everything Looks Yellow, Everything Looks Blue, Everything Looks Red and Timer effects.
Tiebreaking (S4)
- Before Season 4 minigame ties were awarded as wins to the defender. From Season 4 onward minigame ties are only awarded as wins to the defender if the total score for the fight would otherwise be tied (e.g., 2 wins, 2 losses, and 3 ties results in a score of 5-2 for the defender. 3 wins, 1 loss, and 3 ties results in a score 3-1.)
