That "spike people used to use to organize papers on their desks" is called a spindle. As in "DO NOT FOLD SPINDLE OR MUTILATE", but most people here are probably too young for that line. Spindles are still sold in office supply stores, and I, for one, see them used regularly at restaurants. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:15, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
