The meat globe does NOT provide meat while resting...at least in the Newbiesport Tent. I would assume it actually provides meat during rollover.--Lukarnis (talk) 22:40, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Observed meat drops are anywhere between 600 and the listed 750 meat. This means the meat globe MORE THAN recoups the cost of the Shore trip, along with what I perceive to be roughly 10 of each substat per adventure spent.--Lukarnis (talk) 22:44, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

The main page reports that prior to the 2013 revamp, you gain stats and meat from using this item. I have just bought two Meat globes and using the first installed one in my tent, but using the second one triggers the old mechanic. The stat gains (as a TT) were 33 Beefiness, 30 Magicalness, 30 Cheek (so probably 30 base + 10% muscle modifier from somewhere) and 691 Meat.
