References
- The filename, "jeff was right", refers to actor Jeff Goldblum, and more specifically Dr. Ian Malcom, his character in the Jurassic Park movie series, a mathematician specializing in chaos theory.
- This is a reference to the butterfly effect, which in chaos theory supposes that a storm in one part of the world could be caused by a butterfly flapping its wings across the globe.
- Stormbringer is also the name of the sword wielded by Elric of Melniboné, who had a long history with the lords of Chaos in the series of novels by Michael Moorcock.
- The title of this trophy also references A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury, in which time is changed for the worse by the death of a single butterfly. The last line of the story is 'There was a sound of thunder.'
