During Combat

• When attacked by a monster (only when the attack hits):

	Fortunately, your studded belt absorbs the blow. A couple of the studs fall off of it, though. Stupid cheap belt.

• After 2-? "attack absorbs":

	Fortunately, your studded belt absorbs the blow. Unfortunately, the attack knocks the last plastic stud off of the belt, rendering it useless. You sigh and discard the belt in a nearby trash can.

Notes

• Sometimes obtained from Summon "Tasteful" Gifts.
• Although the enchantment says the belt reduces damage taken by 1, it actually absorbs all damage for 2-? rounds and then falls apart. (This does not seem to always be the case. See the discussion page.)
• However, the rounds reset at the end of battle, so if you only absorb one attack per turn via the studded belt, therefore only triggering once per combat, it won't fall apart.
• This item does not prevent Shadow damage when fighting Your Shadow during the Naughty Sorceress Quest.
