Over in one corner of the pen, you spot a large wooden crate with a hole a couple feet above ground level, and some tiny markings. You step closer to inspect the marks, and recognize them as being hobo glyphs. Let's see... tophat, bowling ball, big X -- AAARGH!
From context, you deduce the glyphs as meaning "vicious bugbear will bite your groin if given the chance". You make some notes in your binder and hobble away, wincing.
