If this quest requires combat frequency modifiers to get, that info ought to be on the page. But that's all I can conclude after spending countless turns trying to get it and then eventually realizing that the page for the Bugbear Pens says "100% combat frequency"... --Kilyle 23:54, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that the combat frequencies listed on pages here don't factor in one-time adventures such as this, so despite the Bugbear Pens being "100% combat frequency", I don't think modifiers are required to find these glyphs. Though hunting glyphs does take a long time... good luck! --TimRem 02:02, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- I don't recall using any combat frequency modifiers for any of my codes. These things are difficult to spade. You have to put a lot of effort into getting the binder in the first place, and then you get each code exactly once ever. Needing 200 adventures to finally get a particular one is not unheard of, and 50 to 150 adventures is common. What's "countless" to you? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 02:58, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hobo glyphs are unaffected by combat modifiers.--P4n1q 03:06, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, good to know. I didn't realize that a couple hundred adventures was not out of keeping; I thought I was doing something wrong or omitting a step. I've gotten every other code, and I don't recall having to farm for them really - they just came during the course of normal adventuring, so long as I remembered to equip the binder in the right areas. But this one is bugging me because the Bugbear Pen adventures are otherwise completely useless (no decent loot, low stats, and I already have 11 pitchforks), and just eating up adventures that I would otherwise be using to progress toward the next ascension. Still, guess I just gotta keep plugging away. Thanks for the info, guys :) --Kilyle 08:59, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Fortunately it is not something you ever need to redo. The white citadel one was my most difficult to get. I kept finishing the damn zone before it turned up. I ended up using a Harold's Bell on the business hippy to prolong things. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 05:32, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
