Combat Messages
- Regular messages:
- When attacking:
- %fn% pushes your foe away from you, dealing X damage in the process.
- When protecting:
- %fn% steps protectively between you and your foe. Your foe thinks of something to do other than harm you.
- After Combat:
- After defeating N enemies:
- %fn% looks mildly talkative.
- With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:
- You can't tell if %fn% is winking under his Tam O'Shanter, because of his dark sunglasses.
- With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:
- %fn% cautiously checks the area around the gravy maypole for potential threats.
- With wax lips equipped:
- %fn% smiles with his wax lips. It's the only time you've ever seen him display emotion.
Arena Messages
None. This familiar has no weaknesses.
Notes
- After defeating a certain number of enemies (50?) a "chat" link will appear next to your familiar. Clicking it leads to Chatting with your Burly Bodyguard.
- After the first combat with the Burly Bodyguard each ascension it gets n^2 XP where n is the number of Avant Guard runs completed, with each Softcore Avant Guard run counting as 1, and each Hardcore Avant Guard run counting as 2. This bonus is capped at n=11, and is applied even if the current ascension is not an Avant Guard one.
- Every round Burly Bodyguard will attack the enemy for 0.35*wt to 1.0*wt, where wt is familiar weight.
