This is one of those knives with the two-part handle that swivels around on hinges to cover the blade when you're not using it. The main reason for that is so you can look like a bad-ass when twirling it open, but it's recommended you get plenty of practice first. Nobody is intimidated by someone who accidentally slices his own fingers off.
