You survey the Cola Wars Battlefield for signs of life (specifically, life that isn't going to try to kill you). Your finely-honed treasure-finding senses pick out a glint of metal on the ground, which turns out to be a bottlecap. A bottlecap that a tiny turtle has co-opted as a replacement shell, in hermit crab-like fashion.
