Oh, sorry, I totally didn't see that you're not a vampire. Good thing I missed with the crossbow, huh? Hope I didn't scare you. What can I do for you?
Yeah, I do have some marinated stakes. I've had them soaking in red wine and holy water for the past four hours -- they should be just about ready to plunge into a vampire's cold, dead heart. I'd give them to you, but I've got a major battle to fight, here, and I don't have any other weapons. See, the primordial evil that's existed since the dawn of time is about to send legions of the undead to destroy me and any future vampire slayers in my line, and on top of that, tonight's prom night and I don't even have a dress yet!
I just heard this ancient prophecy (that no one's ever heard of before or mentioned before now, oddly enough) that there's some all-powerful weapon hidden in a cave somewhere in the Kingdom, watched over by some old wise woman. The prophecy says something like, "under the bug-eyed, winged pedagogue, the uber-weapon slumbers."
Anyway, if you can find it and bring it to me, I'll give you my stakes. Deal?
After obtaining the Curiously Shiny Ancient Evil-Bashing Axe:
Woah, so this is that ancient, evil-destroying weapon the prophecies were talking about? It seems way too shiny and new to be an ancient weapon. Oh well, maybe it hasn't been an ancient weapon very long, y'know? Like, to me, anything that happened before I was born seems totally ancient.
Anyway, here are the stakes. I'm off to kick some evil butt!
