Interview With You/Vlad/Night/Bum
You nip down the alley and follow your nose until you find the bum. He seems to be sleeping. You bend down, fangs out, ready to feed . . .
. . . but you can’t get past his pungent odor. Instead of chowing down, you nudge him until he wakes up.
”Huh. Wuh? Got any spare meat?” he asks.
”Actually, I have a job offer for you,” you say. “Have you ever considered becoming a minion?”
”A what now? You mean like those things you dice up and put in chili?”
”No, a minion. You do odd jobs for me, you’re held in my thrall, that kind of thing.”
”What’s it pay?”
”Well, you get to drink a little of my blood, for starters. I’ll put it in this big bottle of whiskey over here for safekeeping. And you get all the bugs you can eat!”
”That sounds all right, then,” the bum says. By the time he finishes his bottle of whiskey, he’s gobbling down houseflies and calling you Master.
