Sprinkles/Strategy
From A KoL Wiki
This page describes how to maximize your sprinkles per turn in Gingerbread City, important for those looking to get the daily leaderboard reward.
Strategy
- It should go without saying that you want as much +sprinkles per fight% as you can possibly get. All such modifiers are listed beneath this section. Note that the Gingerbread Best outfit bonus and the gingerbread moneybag are not used in the most optimal configuration of equipment. Take out your Chocolate Lab and make it as heavy as you can. Note that all +sprinkle% equipment outperforms the best +familiar weight equipment in the same slot.
- Of all the zones, the Gingerbread Sewers have the highest sprinkle drops. Despite not being able to banish any monsters (except for the gingerbread vigilante, whom you most certainly do not want to banish), the sewers have an average of 32.5 sprinkles per fight (compared to the 29 per fight of the Gingerbread Upscale Retail District with optimal banishing). Furthermore, the sprinkle drops in the sewers can be increased by a midday NC choice, bringing them ever further up, to a base of 50 per fight.
- Now that the place to spend all combats in have been figured out, all that remains is to decide what midday NC and what midnight NC are optimal. For midday, the Pull the Lever choice in Noon at the Train Station gives an average of 17.5 sprinkles for each of the 20 fights that follow, for a total of 350 sprinkles average (that is boosted by +sprinkles%). With midday spoken for, there is only one midnight NC that nets any sprinkles: the GNG-3-R fight in the industrial district. As such, that is the optimal midnight NC... but in practice, it very seldom makes the difference between first and second place on the leaderboards. Unless you're confident you'll need it, realistically you can choose whichever midnight NC you feel like.
- A final note: thanks to the very large boost Industrially Frosted gives, and the very short duration you get per industrial frosting, using buff extenders and/or free kills on the gingerbread monsters is a good way to save a lot of effort.
- If you have access to them, using Macrometeorite, CHEAT CODE: Replace Enemy or a waffle in every non-alligator combat can be useful to ensure you meet more alligators and fewer other things in the sewers. The first two of these rely on old IOTMs, but waffles can be purchased in the mall.

Notes
- For any equipment slot in which you can't use +sprinkles (i.e. hat, back, pants and 2 accessories, assuming you have a sour ball and chain which makes the Gingerbread Best outfit irrelevant), try to find something with Familiar Weight instead since this will add to the Chocolate Lab's bonus.
- Likewise, use any potions and skills you can get hold of, to buff familiar weight too.
- It may or may not be possible to get a second sugar raygun and dual-wield them: however this offers no bonus over wielding a sprinkle-begging cup in the off-hand instead, both being a flat 50%.
- Likewise, equipping a sugar raygun on a Disembodied Hand, or a sprinkle-begging cup on a Left-Hand Man, gives a flat +50% sprinkles bonus, which is easily beaten by a Chocolate Lab of 25lbs or higher wearing a candy dog collar.
