- The name and the description refer the They Might Be Giants song 'Stomp Box', which contains the lyrics "Blast your missive / Tell the wordless message".
History
- On October 8th it was discovered that this item had a multi-use link that would produce bang potions. Jick later announced that this was a bug, and the multi-use capability was removed. It was eventually confirmed this bug stemmed from an overlap of item IDs with an unused Small Chest item originally planned to be a replacement for the Small box on the Bees Hate You path.
