It didn't drop the 33398 scroll for me (I already had a few so it's ok). (CDT) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glaruf (talk • contribs) on 14 January 2008
- One Sign your posts, and two is it possible that you pickpocketed one at the begining of the battle, or V masked one off it since it will then not drop the item. --Chunky_boo 10:50, 14 January 2008 (CST)
Fought monster twice. Once with a character with no item drop mods and one with. Both times, it dropped all 4 items. --Joebob 05:30, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
- Just gave me all four scrolls and a shirt. Nice.--J12601 11:09, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Had a 22lb coffee pixie and minimal other +item, and had all four scrolls and the shirt drop for me. Only encountered it once in about 70 adv too. Possibly a guaranteed drop, but once-per-ascension (although I obviously haven't spaded the area enough to confirm that)? --Psynn 18:48, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Was using a 30lb green pixie, and all five items dropped for me --Duzell 21:22, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
I have fought for a long time in the area, without seeing this monster. Is there a special way to find this moster?--DoctorWorm 23:22, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
- It might be one of the new semi-rare adventures. In that case you can figure out when to meet this monster by checking fortune cookies.--MicheleColeman 01:02, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
- I'm positive that it IS one of the semi-rare adventures.--MaskedLihc 01:53, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
Fought monster once. Dropped all items. No item drop modifications. Occured after creating the scrolls needed. -- Adite 19:56, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
I have fought it now twice, the first time, I got all the items as a drop, this time I pickpocketed a 334 scroll and then killed it and it dropped all the rest.--Thebigbrainiac 20:23, 1 July 2007 (CDT)
So can we agree that it's 100% drop, rather than ?% ? --Argus 21:59, 1 July 2007 (CDT)
I spent about 150 adventures in the Valley, and only got this monster after completing the Baron's quest. Like it did for everyone else, it dropped all 5 items for me. I don't have Torso Awaregness made Hardcore permanent, and I only had a miner's helmet on. Since it seems like a 100% chance to me, I'll update the article. --Southwest 17:02, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
Miss message:
- @CDC$%, but misses.
Pickpocketed a 334 scroll, acquired the other four items after the fight (using a 30-pound Green Pixie). Gained only 1 Magicalness. --Trilusion 03:33, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
Incorrect on the shirt not dropping without Torso. I'm looking at one held by my alternate character, who's never had Torso in his life. --Terry 20:50, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
- It sounded like Jick or Xeno was going to fix this (on the radio show)... is it fixed yet (meaning no shirt without having torso)? --J12601 21:10, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
I just got the adventure today. No Torso (due to Bad Moon Run) and I did NOT get the shirt as a drop. I believe this got fixed. --Williabr 08:02, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
Poop. Ah well, we'll put that one down as 'it was fun while it lasted'. --Terry 12:31, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
so, hit messages: we should have someone in furry suit &/or beaten up so that we can find out the hit messages. --CG1:t,c,e 19:04, 4 October 2007 (CDT)
Recent J&S show said this monster's level was a glitch and that it's been fixed. Now we can get hit, get decent substat, etc. Respading time! --Missingno 16:17, 26 October 2007 (CDT)
- Ran into this monster today. It has less than or equal to 130 hitpoints, gave 24 substats (10 of which were Myst) on a Myst day, is not elementally weak or resistant to fire or spooky, and did not hit me while I had 86 moxie (though combat only lasted 2 rounds). --Tz BG 23:27, 6 November 2007 (CST)
- Ran into this. Got hit with 84 Moxie twice. Finished it off in 90 damage. Dictionary works, if that was in doubt at all. 22 sub stats with +6 ML in effect. --MTPockets 18:28, 16 November 2007 (CST)
- Ran into this just now. Stats of 65/78/87, Level 9. Hit it 6 out of 6 tries. Got hit 4 out of 5 tries (no fumbles). It had (12 + 14 + 15 + 19) + (14 + 1-16) = 75-90 HP. (Is it normal for damage done to increase steadily like that? Haven't noticed it before.) +21 substats (5 + 10 + 6). --Nahtmmm 19:31, 30 November 2007 (CST)
I got 21 substats with a drowsy sword equipped. No other stat gain or ML alterations.--Knobula 11:22, 22 January 2008 (CST)
I just got the adventure before resolving the quest (like my fifth adventure in the valley, thank you RNG). And I also got less than 21 substat. I was an AT with a level 21 grinning turtle equipped, I got You gain 3 Strengthliness. You gain 8 Mysteriousness. You gain 17 Roguishness. It's a mysticality stat day.--Mroconnell 06:34, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
So. I just used a Spooky Putty Sheet on this, and it worked just fine. I fought 6 of these in one day today. --Moth 22:37, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- The 4-d camera can be used as well. Not sure it is worth noting on the page. While I had it, I tried olfaction. I was On the Trail, but didn't see any more of them. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:31, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Fought one of these wearing a dwarvish war helmet. Attack was 96. --Apologue 13:21, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Fought 9 of these (putty, camera, arrow) with dwarvish gear, making sure to have no ML adjustments in effect. Results:
- Attack: 84, 85, 84, 87, 87, 85, 86, 84, 84
- Defense: 73, 79, 80, 77, 79, 79, 77, 77, 77
- HP: 77, 77, 77, 77, 84, 77, 77, 77, 77
If someone better than me at statistics & mechanics could parse that into actual values, that'd be awesome. --StDoodle 20:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
