This seems to be the same adventure I mention at the top of the Poop Deck page, so perhaps link this and It's Always Swordfish at the top?

Also, the hit damage I think is a percentage of HP - I was getting 15HP on 75HP and 25HP on 100HP, so it's probably ~25%. Robert McFarlane 09:12, 5 December 2007 (CST)

  • it doesn't happen only once per day, but it does seem to occur on the first turn after getting the diary if you haven't read it. this is the third ascension in a row this has happened. go ineptitude and rng love! --Evilkolbot 14:26, 9 June 2008 (CDT)
    • Yet more ineptitude: It occurred on my first turn on the poop deck, having forgotten to shoretrip to *get* the diary. Maybe it's just level 11 that sets it up?--ArgghFW 07:45, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
