Talk:Brave Sir Robin
Im the one who gots this trophy and i see a page got created allready lol, so currently there is one hint and not yet sure if it works (sorry didnt screenshot the entitlement)--UnknownZ 21:22, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
- I think probably, since "Brave Sir Robin" is from Monty Python, that this is probably from running away from Black Knights, conjoined zmombies or a certain number of giants (what he runs away from in the movie). Still testing on that one. --User:Coogi Hat June 28, 2007 11:15 PM EST
- Wait, Brave Sir Robin and the unkillable knight!? There's a boss that's unkillable just like the Black Knight, and he's at the end of the level 11 quest. Maybe you need to run away from that boss at the last time you can fight him? --Oracle of Wuffing 01:01, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- Sir Robin never faced the unkillable black knight in the movie. That was King Arthur. --Gleezus 09:25, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- Sir Robin DID run away from the three-headed giant. Possibly the two-head Boss Bat?NoidMan 09:27, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- It's just plain running. I just got it, easy at hole in the sky(100% combat) just ran everytime and got it. --Plater 20:25, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- Does it have to be consecutive? Because I'd imagine over a long KoL career one would have run away from 100 monsters at some stage. --rkMerafel 21:28, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
- I just got it in 65 adventures, so it doesn't seem to be consecutive. I ran about 15-20 times before that, but with a few fights in between, and I ran away a few times yesterday. So you don't have to do it consecutively, but you may have to do it in one ascension. Either that, or they didn't start counting the times you ran away until they implemented the trophy. It's most likely within one ascension, because it has to do with "always running away" and if you run away 100 times in thousands of battles, that can't really be considered 'always.' --OMGWTFLOL 00:18, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
- That sounds like it would make sense. Quite a few trophies reset with ascension, I'd be willing to hypothesise that one must run 100 times in a single ascension to be eligible. --rkMerafel 00:50, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

Don't just run away people, I find that there are nice ways of running away that doesn't waste your turn. Mainly two ways. 1) Pickpocket. 2) Meat Vortex.(Especially on the thieves in the new area. Freaking Sweet Meat gains. I bought 100 Meat vortices just for this purpose) Anything else that one can do? I'm also thinking of equipping hp and mp gaining equipment. --Zeider 03:28, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
FYI: I became eligible for this trophy, ascended, and it was still in the trophy hut when i came back as lvl 1. Are we sure it has to be over different ascensions? Or is it just the trophy stays?--Eugene 10:54, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
- just tried to get it now, and got the trophy in 91 run-aways. the above unsigned post was added by Jeremypv at 08:05 BST, 27 August 2007
Combat Items?
Does using the fancy dress ball, ball, etc count as a run-away? What about the green smoke bomb or tattered scrap of paper? Could you use a green smoke bomb 100 times and get the trophy? Also, first post :P --Devion 13:08, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
Omphaloskepsis Bug
So I equipped my Navel Ring of Navel Gazing, and ran away from a bunch of batrats and snowmen, and I got a strange result. For 100 adventures, plus uncountable free adventures due to the happy Navel Ring effect, I ran away at least 90% of the time. I did on occasion attack the monsters to see if there was any relation between the monster queue and the opportunity of a free run-away via the Navel Ring. Well - I didn't get my trophy, and here's the clincher: I have since unequipped my Navel Ring, and I was then required to run away over 70 times to qualify for the trophy. I think the Navel Ring interferes with the counter for this trophy. Omphaloskepseers beware! --Nyl 186 08:57, 4 October 2007 (CDT)
Definitely confirmed. I did my testing in The Haunted Bedroom over a number of days, and kept track of my running (floating?) away, both quickly and leisurely. After having floated away quickly 112 times and leisurely 102 times, I still did not have the trophy available. After removing the navel ring, I finally got the trophy available after running away in the normal fashion 80 times (I had run away a number of times earlier in my current life.)--Terion 03:07, 29 October 2007 (CDT)
Contradicting article?
-Any time within one ascension is sufficient.
-Can be obtained throughout any number of ascensions.
two lines one after another from the article. which is the case? single ascension, or not? Monsieur 04:39, 13 November 2007 (CST)

Needs some spading, it seems!
Alright, 100 can't be right. 50 is much more likely. I started counting when I started going for the trophy yesterday, and before rollover, I had ran away 42 times. I'm likely to have ran away at least eight times earlier during the run. That I had done it 58 times is straight out, I'd have known.
Now here's the interesting part.
Before rollover, I checked the trophy hut. Nothing at all.
After rollover, I checked it immediately. I was entitled to it. And bought it.
So, yeah, this matter needs some investigation! --KennyMan666 22:18, 31 December 2007 (CST)
I'm fairly certain that the 'run away' counter carries over ascensions. I have run away 5-10 times since ascending(this is my 7th time ascending), and I just got this trophy. Quialiss 14:56, 9 February 2008 (CST)
This definitely does not require all 100 run aways to occur on the same ascension. I'm on day 2 of a run and the trophy is available to me. I don't think I've run away at all this ascension, and I certainly haven't done it 100 times.--JediJules 20:48, 2 March 2008 (CST)
- did you qualify last ascension? maybe it doesn't reset. --Evilkolbot 15:07, 3 March 2008 (CST)
I probably went over 100 lifetime runaways last ascension, but I did not run away 100 times last ascension. I only ran away a couple times (tower monsters). No way I could have done it 100 times in a 1347 turn run.--JediJules 09:44, 4 March 2008 (CST)
Items
Does using items like the divine champagne popper or tattered scrap of paper count as running away? Yes, I know it's horrible grammar, but I'm not sure how to phrase that. --Gnomesquid 11:51, 13 April 2008 (CDT)
- Terminating an adventure with a tattered scrap of paper does not count as running away. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kay Dekker (talk • contribs) on 14:12, 8 November 2009 (UCT)
Adventure.php only?
I ran away from over three hundred brushfires and did not qualify for this trophy, so presumably it only counts running away from standard combats, not special events. EnixBask 06:23, 16 June 2012 (CEST)
