Talk:Critical Hit Chance
Does Stoat stack before or after the multiplier? IE, [(1*4)+1] in 11 (5 in 11), or [(1+1)*4] in 11 (8 in 11) --Rikmach 02:02, 7 January 2006 (Central Standard Time)
For that matter, what about being Vole? --Unnatural20 15:56, 30 July 2006 (CDT)
Don't have the forum thread on me, but testing's shown the vole is +.5 crit chance, like the stoat. both stoat and vole add their bonus AFTER the the critical chance modifiers are multiplied [(1*4)+0.5+0.5] in 11 (5 in 11).
might have to change the effect on eye of the stoat on the boards since it no longer gives thrust smack a 100% hit--Myst44 13:18, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
- OK, I'm not up the latest spading, but I assume Vole should be changed to +.5 instead of +1. Further, I'd separate Vole, Stoat and the V mask into their own table for "additive bonuses" or something, assuming they all stack. Thoughts? --Prestige 20:41, 4 November 2007 (CST)
On a related note, should the Spirit Precipice mention that the sword damages you on a critical hit? The Shillelagh mentions hardcore reward status, I think this entry ought to warn players so they don't go "omg, 5x." and mall it immediately. ♦--Shokwave 07:45, 19 August 2006 (CDT)
Clockwork Items
It says here that clockwork items need 30 mys/mus/mox but on their different pages it says 25. Which one is correct?--Aerlin 06:53, 14 February 2007 (CST)
- They all require 25 stat. This can easily be verified by logging into a KoL server and clicking on the link in the upper right hand corner of the item page to view the description page through KoL's servers. I just updated this page to reflect the real requirements. --TheDotGamer 07:32, 14 February 2007 (CST)
My research indicates that the OK Lumberjack Outfit also increases Critical Hit Chance, but I want to wait until others confirm this phenomenon, and the magnitude, before adding it to this list.--Mis2027 13:36, 13 July 2007 (CDT)
- I've collected some more data supporting 5x.--Mis2027 06:49, 9 October 2007 (CDT)
Spell critical hits
Do spells also receive bonus modifiers from normal critical hit modifiers and multipliers? With the new rock items you can have +30% modifier and if the multipliers apply then it should give over 100% crit chance. --BongBob 12:10, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Adding the spell critical hit items to this table is making it messy; spell crit and weapon crit are different game mechanics. Is it worth considering taking the floaty entries off this page and pointing at spell crit as the place to go for dressing up? --Hoobity 02:51, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
