Mad Hatrack + Daylight Shavings Helmet

During first round of combat, I got this message with the DSH equipped to my Mad Hatrack: "Your foe briefly recoils from your helmet's whirling razors. Monster attack power reduced by 15 Monster defense reduced by 15". After combat, I got this message: "The blade-tipped arms of your helmet swing around in a little victory dance." Duration

I think the buff actually lasts for 12 adventures, but 1 adventure is automatically deduced if and only if the fight in which the effect is gained actually costs 1 adventure. This might be a common way to represent things on the wiki to simplify things, I am not sure. --Extremelywikidude (talk) 14:08, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Simultaneous Facial Hair Effects?

I received Barbell Moustache (as a TT) and PYEC'd it to 40+ adventures. I've had more than 11 combats since, but haven't yet received the next effect (Surrealist's Moustache). Are the buffs exclusive to one another, similar to snowcone effects? --Sensibleb (talk) 18:37, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

I'm guessing the buffs only happen if the item is equipped. Is that right? Do they go away if the item is unequipped? Are the 11 combats only counted if it is equipped, or are combats without it equipped also included? And those 11 include (some?) free combats that cost no turn, yes?
