Does this convert hobo power to +spell damage or +%spell damage. Here's hoping its the later to raise it from mostly useless to marginally beneficial. --Darkness 10:31, 27 June 2008 (CDT)

• This item is not +%spell damage. It converts hobo power to +spell damage with a ratio somewhere between 1:1 and 1:1.5, making it almost useless.--Darkness 05:44, 9 July 2008 (CDT)
  • Is it really that useless? +100 damage is pretty nice if you have other percentage gear (like a chefstaff or a Navel Ring). There isn't much +spell damage gear for the hat or pants, and the offhand item would be taking the place of the kickback cookbook, which gives less of an effect.

• I did a test. My results.
  • Target- Giant Sandworm
    
  • Buffed Myst- 896
    
  • Spell- Weapon of the Pastalord
    
  • Equipment- Full Hodgman set. 100 Hobo power
    
  • Weapon of the Pastalord's formula is (32-64)+((7*Mys)/20), meaning that the difference between the strongest and weakest attack at any given time is 32.
    
  • Without the Almanac- My attack range was 346-378
    
  • With Almanac- My attack range was 466-498
    
  • At any given moment, my attack with the almanac did 120 more damage than it would have without the almanac. 120/100 hobo power= 1.2 bonus spell damage from each point of hobo power.--Doomlord 21:09, 1 August 2008 (CDT)
