Something's up with this, cos I'm definitely not burning an adventure using this. Maybe it's dependent on what monster you're fighting, or an effect active? I'm only using them again mine crabs, and I haven't burned an adventure once doing this. I have both fishy and greased-up familiar, as well as many other buffs, though non other are sea-specific. --Vegan 16:15, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

so I spent some more turns, continuing to ink bladder mine crabs. Most of the time I'm not spending an adventure, but then I noticed every once in awhile I would. The first time I noticed this was when I had used an ink bladder two turns in a row. So, does is there a flat percentage of it not consuming an adventure, or is there some other mechanic(possibly involving which monster it is used against or having used it twice in a row or something)? --Vegan 17:17, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

For the above water effect, I'm thinking it raises monster level, as that's an effect that's generally associated with anger. Someone needs to look into that. - Stinkoman87

Spading

I've done a fair bit of spading so far. The following represent how often I got a "quickly", i.e. saved an adventure:

• An Octopus's Garden, multiple effects active: 37/54 (68.5%)
• An Octopus's Garden, only Fishy active: 138/178 (77.5%)
• An Octopus's Garden, no effects active: 124/150 (82.7%)
• The Briny Deeps, no effects active: 162/200 (81%)
• The Briny Deeps, multiple effects active: 150/200 (75%)
• The Briny Deeps, multiple effects active: 176/200 (88%)
• An Octopus's Garden, multiple effects active: 237/300 (79%)
  • CURRENT TOTAL: 1024/1282 (79.9%; 95% confidence interval 77.7-82.1%)
