Manuel drops

The infoxbox does not capture drop rates, its simply there to list drops and manuel drops. Drop rates have always been recorded in the main body of the article. Its a reasonable change to add the manuel drops to the page without somewhere else to put them. Though we perhaps can think about marking the drop as conditional on manuel via a flag in the template and a superscript link, something similar. This is more of a page design issue though and shouldn't really hold up Ryo from continuing to spade and record. Discordance (talk) 17:50, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I was pretty sure convention was that all drops (normal, quest, pickpocket, manuel) go on both the main page and the metadata: on the main page with an item template, and in the metadata with a link. Where absent, it's just because nobody has bothered to add it (or Malibu has explicitly removed it). Established Standards hasn't been updated for a long while, though.--Ryo_Sangnoir (talk) 19:01, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
  • I've been removing Manuel potions when I come across them on Monster pages because they are conditional on having used the Monster Manuel. If we want to list them I have no objections, I was just following how Established Standards appears to suggest to me the post-combat drops should be listed. --Malibu Stacey (talk) 22:51, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
    • I've made an update to the page to refer to what we're currently doing:
      data pages are now mentioned
name, article, image are not mentioned on the page itself
items are sorted as they are in-game
use of "mval" instead of raw meat drops
    • I didn't see any mention of removing conditional drops (e.g. bounty items, shirts, items with a condition like spice melange, manuel items) so I didn't add in anything to say not to remove them.--Ryo_Sangnoir (talk) 12:08, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
