Running away
Sorry if it's been posted elsewhere, but out of curiosity, if you run away from one of these or one of the other heroes can you still find him again in the same ascension? --Darknightess 11:02, 9 April 2008 (CDT)
- On a related note, I saw someone on the forums suggest a plan to farm ascots by killing some number of frat boys and running away until Monty was encountered. An image number was mentioned, but I don't remember what it was. Is there any truth to this? Do heroes appear at specific points on the battlefield? --Phantomreader42 05:30, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, he appears at image 24 and onwards and because running away, cleeshing and any other items that get you out of a combat don't count to the tally it can be done. From farming for him myself I would be saying the likely hood is that of a semi-rare. Also I have been adventuring on image 29 and still have been yet to find him after 250~ adventures. --Cheese 00:08, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Data points for determining specifics
I'm not good at the data collection bit (calculating percentages and so on), but here's my data point for those of you who crunch the numbers:
- It took more than 208 damage but less than 301 to kill him. (I know, big help.)
- Meat drops: 286 Meat. (Modifiers: Polka of Plenty and Nimble Fingers)
- Item drops: white class ring and the ascot, no other items, no pickpocket drop. Item drop modifiers: a full-weight pixie plus Empathy and a maypole, flaming pink shirt, monocle, Mad Looting Skillz, Phat Loot Lyric, and My Favorite Things in the Ballroom.
I forgot to record my stat gain, sorry. Too bad, as I didn't have any modifiers on it. I'll remember next time. --Poingpoingsplat 11:14, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
---
- Meat drops: 283 Meat. (Modifiers: Polka of Plenty)
- Item drops: white class ring, natty blue ascot (Modifiers: 30 pound spooky gravy fairy, dilated pupils, phat loot, monocle)
I navigated away from the page to check equipment, forgot about stat gain too... hope it helps anyway. --Darknightess 10:15, 11 December 2007 (CST)

I am a level 16 AT; stats: 211 (175), 200 (166), 277 (230); +15 ML (10 Radio, 5 Beer bong), in 6 rounds of combat he only hit me once (it was his critical hit); 25 lb Spooky Gravy Fairy, and +32% item drop (+20% Fat loot lyric, +7% Lucky rabbit's foot, +5% makeshift cape); pickpocketed White Class Ring; Natty blue ascot was the only other drop. 202 meat, +7% meat drop was the only meat drop increaser.--Knobula 21:34, 9 May 2008 (CDT)
Item drops: white class ring and ascot (+42% item drops according to Mafia)
Stats: 12 Muscle substat, 10 Myst. substat, 34 Moxie substat. Disco Bandit with no XP mods.

As a level 15 seal clubber, he died after 309 + 50 stench damage. He hit me once for 31 damage (my moxie is 180(157)). I got 224 meat, 49 total substat, the ascot and a white ring. I also have aspect of the twinklefairy (in case that affects meat drops... I don't remember if it does). -- Alphacow 21:37, 13 April 2008 (CDT)
Level 14 Pastamancer, I was just burning through the Battlefield with 1-hit spells and mana regen/+damage and hit him. Stopped because I noticed the Natty Blue Ascot which I'd just looked up for purchasing to help with the Thermdale Hills quest. Unfortunately, this was the only scene I got. Encountered at 9:38. +0% item drop and meat drop on my character. Damage was 286 + 25 from Star Starfish.
I notice that all of these updates occur at right about 9:30-11:30. Coincidence? (Different time zones though.)

ascot has 98% drop?
I'm changing this to 100%, and if someone can provide a screenshot of the dude being beaten without dropping the ascot, we can go back to "always but not quite always". -- Alphacow 17:42, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Drop data
I just fought him, figured i would add my drops etc. 195 meat, white class ring, natty ascot, 45 musc, 3 myst, 16 mox. This was done on a muscle day, with a 30 pound fairy and +25ML. no other modifiers.--Alabit 16:04, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Monty not appearing on stage 30
Iv cleeshed over 500 turns on stage 30 with no monty yet. Perhaps there is an upper bounds to which stage he will appear at. Can anyone rebuke this or confirm it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Judge Omega (talk • contribs) on 05:05, 4 May 2010
- i'm about to do this, i'll report back. hopefully i'll not need that many tatters. i already spent way too many on image 11 by mistake. --Evilkolbot (talk) 14:06, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- now i've read everything more carefully, monty's due on image 24. war frat streaker should show up on image 30. did you cleesh those, by any chance? --Evilkolbot (talk) 14:12, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- kolspading topic on this indicates they appear between certain kill numbers. --Flargen (talk) 15:41, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- the other nine heroes had the adventure ranges on their page, leaving 601 to 700 for monty. which is image 24. --Evilkolbot (talk) 16:10, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
