Talk:Moxie Substat

From A KoL Wiki

Is there a reason items such as chaos butterflies and 668 scrolls aren't listed? I mean, sure, they also take away substats randomly, but if we're going for comprehensive.. perhaps we should include them? --Lucyspace2 22:48, 18 May 2006 (CDT)

  • Maybe nobosy editing this page has thought of them (yet). The wiki is a continuous work in progress ;-) --JRSiebz (|§|) 22:58, 18 May 2006 (CDT)

Not sure about this but perhaps Sarcasm shouldn't autodirect here anymore, afterall people could be searching for the newer serum of srcasm just as likely as info about moxie.--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 04:03, 7 July 2006 (CDT)

Any reason why I'm not seeing the Can-Can-in-a-Can here? I'd add it myself, but that grid thing scares me. (nevermind, I ended up figuring it out. Added it.) --DuckAndCower 01:48, 14 January 2008 (CST)

Just noticed that Imp Ale and that Shot of Napatha (or whatever it's called, from the Worm Wood) need to be added as well. Actually, I'm not sure about that Worm Wood drink. Should Antiphon be here as well? Seems kind of out of place. I'm surprised this page isn't tagged as needing work. --DuckAndCower 01:57, 14 January 2008 (CST)

  • The food/booze are intentionally left out because they have dedicated pages (e.g., Best Booze). A number of the regular editors are well aware that this series of articles is very far from complete, but as you can see, discussion never really took off so these pages have languished. I doubt they're heavily used, at any rate, as the bulk of substat gains over the course of an ascension are from consumables and adventuring. --Bagatelle 17:49, 14 January 2008 (CST)

There is an incredibly quick, albeit expensive, way to gain moxie substat. Have a large stack of Dance Cards and Disassembled Clovers in your inventory, and use 1 dance card and reassemble 3 clovers at a time. Adventure 4 times in the Haunted Ballroom, for around 300 substat per adventure, or 375-400 on a Moxie Day. every 4 adventures, use another card and 3 more clovers. With, say, 200 adventures in 1 day, that makes 50 dance cards and 150 clovers, and ROUGH approximation of 60k substat gain. On a moxie day, assume 375 per adventure, and you get 75k substat gain. This helps incredibly for people trying for their lvl 30 trophies, but is useful for anyone. current mall prices are around 2500 for dance cards and 3500 for clovers, so (ROUGHLY, again) 650k meat for 200 adventures, netting 60k substat (75k on moxie days...) means 10.83 meat per substat on a normal day, 8.6 on a moxie day. Additionally, the "advancement" page states that you need 714,025 substat to get to lvl 30. That is 2380 adventures on the "normal" days, and 1904 on the "moxie" days. This would say 7,735,000 meat (595 dance cards, 1785 clovers) for "normal" days, or 6,188,000 meat on "moxie" days (476 dance cards, 1428 clovers). All of this is relying on rough estimations of 300/375 gain and 2500/3500 mall prices.

Of course, I JUST realized I am a complete idiot, because none of my calculations took into account either the fact that you must be 68 main stat to come here to begin with, nor that you only get about 2*mainstat, which means that these calculations are silly until lvl 13 (148 mainstat). However, I will not erase everything I just wrote, as it is still valid, partially useful info. Despite that I rambled off into left field so far. Enjoy laughing at me! ;p I am... --KhayPrower 13:41, 14 February 2008 (CST)
