Talk:Off-hand Items

From A KoL Wiki

I am far too lazy to plunge through the data and fill in this table, but if someone else would heres a start =) --Zafoquat 19:58, 10 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

A few things for whoevers nice enough to fill this all in. there are 51 off-hand items, only 50 are listed in the Off-hand Items page. there is a dev off-hand item floating around out there that should be added in. The table has exactly 51 slots. This page also needs to be categorized in Game Mechanics and the like. Also a link to this page should be put on the Off-hand Items page --Zafoquat 20:09, 10 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

Also, someone should rename this page: "Off-hand Items (by requirement)" --Pastamancer5 23:33, 10 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

When this page was redirected from the (by requirment) page to this typo free page, Jinya mentioned this "{and the only contributor was 'Ricket')" If this was in reference to the then additions of Off-hand Items A-C it is incorrect, as I was the contributor. A minor point, just felt I'd note it. Then again I could be mistakeing what shes referring to. --Zafoquat 01:33, 11 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

In reference to the missing offhand item, it could be the "off-hand balloon" which is currently residing in BoozerBear's shop (as well as a few other shops)--Maharet 03:53, 11 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

I woke up to a completed table this morning, thank you Ricket. I organized them similar to how I saw the Accessory (by requirement) page is organized. I started with the highest restricted stat item, and worked in descending order of requirements. With like requirments I put the items in descending alphabetical order. I also put the 'no requirement' 'no effect' items below the 'no requirment' items with effects. Last thing I see needs to be done is this needs to be done is the Off-hand Items page needs to be turned into a category, and entrys to Game Mechanics for Off-Hand items needs to be done if it isn't already.--Zafoquat 12:06, 11 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

Naming conventions

Should Ranged weapons (by power), One-handed weapons (by power), etc be recapitalized or should this be recapitalized?--Dehstil (t|c) 22:26, 9 July 2006 (CDT)

I like Name (By Something) because it looks nicer, but there exists many pages/categories that are Name (by something), Name By Something, and Name by something. The bad part about the one with ()s like Name (by something), is that searching for "Name by something" does not return the desired page. Al the x by number pages are named as so becuase they were all "copied" from Items by number which existed first. Even though Familiars by number, Familiars by number, and Familiars by availability are named as such, I tend to link to them as Familiars (Ordered By Number) or Familiars (By Number), etc. There are a lot of groups of similarly named/formatted sister-pages which all evolved together. Many of the earlier wiki-contributers drifted to a particular area of the wiki and contributed a lot to it. By now I forget who did what, It's been a long kol/wiki year ;-) --JRSiebz (|§|) 23:02, 9 July 2006 (CDT)
