reference

anyone think it might be a reference to the Nestle chocolate bar, named after eight?--Blood panther 01:00, 13 January 2008 (CST)

Yes, it's almost vertainly a reference to those mints that are wafer thin, After Eight Mints: Here. --Reapaninja 08:30, 13 January 2008 (CST)

I haven't heard the MC Frontalot song that is claimed to be referenced here, but is it possible that the song is also referencing the Monty Python skit, and therefore is redundant to mention it in the article? --CheezyBob 15:52, 14 January 2008 (CST)

  • Well, I think it does, for two reasons. First: it's likely that the content was written with both in mind. Second: the precise term "wafer-thinness" occurs in the song, complete with suffix, as opposed to the description in the movie, which (IIRC) does not have that exact phrase. Indeed, I agree that the song is quite possibly itself making reference to the movie; that's why I had appended the additional reference to the existing one, rather than adding an entirely new bullet point. I suppose you could leave it as a separate bullet point, and further clarify by making the name of the song a link to the official lyric page on Front's site: http://frontalot.com/index.php/?page=lyrics&lyricid=43 --A Naked Jew 16:23, 15 January 2008 (CST)
