the card catalog had 8 books only one gave a clue and using a killscroll or heealscrool gave no clue.

at 100% language at the catalog had only 3 books and all gave a clue word and using a killscroll or healscroll gave a word, only got the 1st scroll word if funkslinging two scrolls --MadonKody (talk) 23:24, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

100% language, three choices, all with clues:

Y993.12: Crab Evisceration, a Cautionary Tale
You do notice, however, that there seem to be a lot of references to blind creatures.
ZG223.86: The Big Book of Eel Husbandry
You can't make heads or tails of the contents of the book, but somebody has scrawled "DOUBLED" on the inside of the front cover in what appears to be blood. Spooky.
WX276.58: Tips for Fishy Blood Geology
You flip through the book, and find very little in the way of useful information. There is one curious chapter, though, which just consists of the phrase one thousand squirming young over and over, hundreds of times. Creepy.

At 30%, I had 8 choices. At 60%, I had 7 choices. At 90%, I had 4 choices. --Pilomotor (talk) 21:57, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea why y'all only got 4-8 choices. Maybe Jick changed something, or maybe there are other steps that you guys did which eliminated some choices. --Greycat (talk) 18:27, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

Also: selecting a non-clue-yielding choice gave me 300 Mysticality substats (Mongoose, non-stat day, main stat 371). So it's probably capped at 300 but I have no idea what the mainstat multiplier is. --Greycat (talk) 18:29, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

At 0% mastery, I had 13 choices. 10%- 12 choices. 20%- 11 choices. 30%- 10 choices. Looks like a linear progression. I'm going to mess around with the killscroll and healscroll next run to see if they affected anything. --TechSmurf (talk) 01:15, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Looks like the book number is just two random letters and five random numbers. --TechSmurf (talk) 02:45, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Could be, could be. I'm including the numbers with mine, though, on the off-chance that they could be important. --RacWade (talk) 04:13, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
