I think the regular gain is 4 substats. Don't forget that today is a Moxie day. --Baltar 21:23, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

the 8-ball drops more frequently yesno? --Unnatural20 00:50, 29 September 2006 (CDT)

  • I'd have to agree. I get 8-balls a lot more than anything else. -GG Crono 11:02, 14 October 2006 (CDT)

Is it just me or does the image look a lot like the image of the monster of the library in ALone in the dark?--Cleavebledread 09:04, 8 October 2006 (CDT)

  • Note: For the time being, I'm going to be collecting some high drop-rate statistics on this monster in an attempt to verify that it is possible to get an 8-item drop here. As of today, I have recieved a maximum of 5 items dropping at once with up to +302.5% item drop bonuses. While I highly doubt that there are multiple versions of this monster, I simply wish to verify that there are not versions distinguished by item drops.--Yiab 13:01, 26 October 2006 (CDT)
  • Of course, it is also worth noting that, if the item drop rates so far are indicative, the chances of getting an 8-item drop here are still on the order of 1:17,000,000.--Yiab 13:05, 26 October 2006 (CDT)

Do I just have bizzare luck, or do the pool balls only drop when you have a pool cue equiped?--LegendaryBard 19:45, 13 November 2006 (CST)

-- I also experienced seemingly uncanny drop rates with a pool cue equipped. Got a ball every time for about 5 in a row. ----Soshan 15:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

On the J&S show today, they confirmed it should be possible to get 8 balls. If you stand 77 feet tall. Discworldian 21:44, 13 November 2006 (CST)

  • Was it then time for a little braggadocio, swinging your arms like Ralph Macchio? It's fine, lern2reference. Banjooie 22:26, 21 November 2006 (CST)

I know it's really obvious but does this need a reference to Pooltergeist being a reference to a Poltergeist?--The Retired Hermit 12:00, 21 November 2006 (CST)

It is possible to have balls drop that sum to exactly 17 (e.g. 1, 3, 5, 8) but not see a 17 ball. --Foobar 19:03, 15 February 2007 (CST)

Consolation?

Has anybody ever gotten a consolation ribbon from a pooltergeist's ultra-rare clone? --Tom93 17:06, 14 February 2008 (CST) Yeah I was just wondering that, I mean, it says its a completely different monster that only drops the ultra rare and it should have a consolation ribbon, but maybe they didnt include it because it would only confuse the noobs even more or something. --Coolness 16:35, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
