Talk:Reinforced furry underpants

From A KoL Wiki

Maybe created by combining the skeletortoise with a furry fur? Can anybody check? --Ersatzhiphop 12:51, 17 January 2007 (CST)

  • No, doesn't look like it. I have Armorcraftiness and have had no luck. Also tried with the furry green turtle. Perhaps the furry green turtle has to be smithed with something else first to make "regular" furry underpants and then smithed with the skeletortoise? I dunno, seems awfully complicated for such a low-level item.--Jett 14:03, 17 January 2007 (CST)

Yep, just confirmed, the other ingredient is indeed a bar skin.--Jett 14:49, 17 January 2007 (CST)

So then what does THIS smith into? Seems like it'd be great smithed into a pair of Furry Pants.

Well, it doesn't smith with the enormous belt buckle like I thought it would--Rennej 17:57, 18 January 2007 (CST)

There are turtle smithings with bubblewrap and cardboard ores -- maybe styrofoam ore for this one?

Bump - anyone found out what this can be smithed with yet? Maybe it's mislabeled? --DataVortex 15:28, 22 January 2007 (CST)

There's still a missing item directly after the skeletortoise, if you look at item numbers. So it seems quite possible that this smiths into that mystery item. --Starwed 02:46, 1 February 2007 (CST)
    • That seems quite likely. If you look at the turtles on the item list, they're listed in an obvious order: first the turtle, and then what it's smithed into. The item slot below skeletortoise is still blank, so I'd bet that it's probably smithable with something else than just the bar skin. After all, there are plenty of other items that can be smithed in more than one way, so why not the turtles? --Andemon 15:23, 6 March 2007 (CST)
    • Sounds like a good theory. I'll give the skeletortoise the same spading I gave the underpants.--Dorf 18:10, 6 March 2007 (CST)
Bah, no good so far. Tried smithing with everything on my rfu list, including another skeletortoise. Nothing yielded positive results except of course the bar skin.--Dorf 18:36, 6 March 2007 (CST)
  • Anyone tried zapping it? --Zigota Lt 07:30, 25 February 2007 (CST)
    • The reinforced furry underpants shudders for a moment, but nothing happens.--RPGMarker35 10:59, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Meatsmithing Tests

  • I spent an afternoon testing every one of the known meatsmithing components with the reinforced furry underpants, excepting only some holiday outfit components (bow, fake plastic grass, and wrapping paper), petrified time, and ore crossbow strings, sticks, and swords (as they are no longer smithable). A detailed list can be found by clicking my name. I assume, then, that either the other component does not yet exist, it has not been discovered, or it is a meat paste item and not technically a smithing item.--Dorf 13:12, 6 March 2007 (CST)
    • Just a note: I used Innabox to test each of these items. I thought this was reasonable, as if an item requires Armorcraftiness or Super-Advanced Meatsmithing, Innabox will say "I'm not a skilled enough smith to make that item, Citizen. Sorry 'bout that." With the underpants, he only ever said, "Those items don't combine to make anything, Citizen. Maybe we should try something else."--Dorf 13:27, 6 March 2007 (CST)
  • 10 April, no success with new meatsmithing items.--Dorf (Talk | Contribs) 21:36, 10 April 2007 (CDT)

Bug Report filed

After checking the item list, it appears the empty slot beneath our beloved underpants was filled with I Love Me Vol. I. That in mind, I'm presuming that Jick forgot about them, and have filed a bug report appropriately. Hopefully something good will come of this.--InvalidUser 02:38, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
