Talk:Shimmering tendrils
Pastamancer Update
After the pastamance update, I used this item, and it just fed it to my current Thrall
"You hold the shimmering tendrils aloft and convert it into raw psychic energy, which Brian consumes." --Mrfred (talk) 15:51, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
That also reminds me - has anyone noticed these (or any of the old pasta summoning items) dropping since the update?
I don't think I've seen any new ones come up.--Volc (talk) 04:22, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
Older
Hi - first time using a wiki so sorry if I mess up something. I have a Pastamancer and just received the shimmering tendrils. After using them once I got the message like described in the article but now the item is gone - and I didn't get an option to summon the angel hair thing either. What's wrong? --PoBA 05:23, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
- The tendrils do disappear when used; that's normal. The option to summon the wisp only appears in the first round of combat, if you get the jump. --Prestige 08:08, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
- Ah great, thanks. I wonder how I could miss that O_o --PoBA 10:01, 18 June 2008 (CDT)
So... anyone try the Summoning Chamber using <name> yet? I would, but my Pastamancer is only level 5... - The Wrassedragon 00:51, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
- For me it did nothing. This lets you summon the Lihc in combat. Shashaa!--Desertmagic 00:51, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
EDIT: Most stats (Mus. today, fighting a senile lihc)
- The merest suggestion of a smile crosses Shashaa wispy form as he whispers "You have performed... adequately."
- You gain 4 Strongness.
- You gain 13 Enchantedness.
- You gain 4 Sarcasm.

Are you sure the T in tendrils should be capitalized? Because none of you are linking to this page correctly, or noticing it. --Flargen 01:13, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
- I can confirm it is supposed to be lowercase: whomever made the page initially made a mistake. --Lolo 01:20, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
There is a limit to this item. After summoning it in multiple battles, it said my brain was getting tired. UPDATE: After receiving the undead elbow macaroni it seems that summoning them is a new mechanic and after a cetain number only a certain number of times a day since I had to sever my connection to this one to get one for the macaroni. --Chunky_boo 02:35, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
My lihc, Shoshuu, "looks stronger..." I've summoned him 4 or 5 times, and got this message at the end of combat.--WillGruff 10:11, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
I got my lihc today, and after he "looked stronger" the first time, I began receiving messages telling me "your brain feels tired" when summoning him. He got stronger again, and now the message reads "You are mentally exhausted by the effort of summoning Shiishaaa." I don't know whether there's a correlation between the two or not, however.
Also, he seems to be gaining vowels. When I first used the item, I'm certain his name was "Shishaa", and now it's "Shiishaaa".--Revier 20:14, 12 April 2008 (CDT)
And, now I can no longer summon him, after very few adventures with the mentally exhausted message. If it resets after rollover, I'll be sure to note if he keeps on gaining vowels. --Revier 20:18, 12 April 2008 (CDT)
New Mechanic
Can there be a talk page specifically for this new mechanic for a while? Since there is more than one item? Also, it would seem to me that there are different alignments to the Pastamanced creatures. Like how it is implied that this one is evil (malevolent, not liking the tone of his voice), and the elbow macaroni seems to be neutral. Maybe you get a skill or there's a sidequest that changes based on which one you favor? --Antoids 20:43, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
There's currently a section in the Talk:Pastamancer page, we need to discuss a naming convention for this mechanic. --Urutsini 22:43, 11 April 2008 (CDT)
Obtained From
Has it been confirmed that this does not drop from the pre-cyrpt lihc? Rather, I suppose, has anyone gotten the tendrils from it? Just seems curious that it would be pushed back to level 7 at least, when the other ghosts are much soner -- though, stat gain was considered the best reward by TPTB, if I recall my radio correctly. --Terion 06:57, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
