Talk:Smithsness
Other Items
The Other items just added by Rlbond don't really belong here since they neither give nor benefit from Smithsness, but I'd like to vote that they stay here since this is now the only page with all information in the same place and it is helpful. --Bale (talk) 02:10, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- I can see why you would want a place where you can see everything that can be made from the Summon Smithsness skill. Unfortunately, the right place for this isn't this page. If there currently is a page where this could be listed, it would be Summon Smithsness, but the pages lump of Brituminous coal and handful of Smithereens already contain all the craftable items. There is relevance to the assorted items – it's just not on a page about the Smithsness. --Yatsufusa (talk) 12:34, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
Max Smithsness
Currently the page says maximum possible Smithsness is 85. I may be wrong but surely this should be 90 or 95?
- 25 from Flaskfull of Hollow
- 10 from consuming handful of Smithereens
- 10 from consuming either Every Day is Like This Sundae or Miserable Pie
- 10 from consuming either Irish Coffee, English Heart or Strikes Again Bigmouth
- 5 from wearing Hairpiece On Fire
- 5 from wearing Vicar's Tutu
- 5 from wearing Hand in Glove
- 5 from wearing any off-hand that grants Smithsness (A Light that Never Goes Out or Half a Purse)
- 10 from wearing Shakespeare's Sister's Accordion with the Accordion Appreciation skill
- 5/10 from equipping a Shakespeare's Sister's Accordion to a disembodied hand familiar (not sure if the Smithsness bonus would be doubled if on a disembodied hand, though I think it would)
That gives a total of 95, assuming that equipping the disembodied hand with Smithsness weapons grants an increase in Smithsness as it would if equipped normally.--Icy elemental (talk) 15:51, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- I could be wrong here, but I thought accordions couldn't be placed onto the disembodied hand, even if 1-handed? — Cool12309 (talk) 16:57, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- Cool is correct: "Your Disembodied Hand isn't willing to play pilfered goods." --Club (#66669) (Talk) 19:33, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- It can still equip Sheila Take a Crossbow or Work is a Four Letter Sword. So 90. —Yendor (talk) 22:15, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Smithsness KoL Bug?
When you look at the profile of a player (other than yourself) wearing Smithsness-giving items that boost your stats, AND that player has the stats display privacy option OFF, the buffed stats you see are calculated based on your own Smithsness, rather than that of the player you are viewing. For example: Player 236 has 10 smithsness from wearing a Shakespeare's Sister Accordion, along with the Accordion Appreciation skill, and Moxie of 102 (85) - assuming no other moxie modifiers. Player 411, with 0 smithsness, looks at Player 236's profile, and sees Moxie: 85. --Wrldwzrd89 (talk) 15:22, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
