- um, wasn't "soylent" just the name of the corporation that made it? i don't remember the soy/lentil thing being explicitly mentioned in the film, although that may have been the filmmakers' intent. --Evilkolbot 06:34, 26 January 2007 (CST)
- The movie is based on the novel "Make Room, Make Room" by Harry Harrison. In the novel, the word "soylent" does come from soybean/lentils. This connection is not made in the movie, where Soylent is indeed the name of the company. -- Tanstaafl 12:13, 26 January 2007 (CST)
