Talk:Spirit Precipice

From A KoL Wiki

Does this weapon's critical hit effect work with the Vampire Cape's? --Beatrix kiddo 14:35, 17 November 2006 (CST)

  • Why wouldn't it?--InvalidUser 04:01, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
    • It appears to change the Vampire Cape's damage/healing to match the kickback damage, rather than the enemy's damage.--Dankia_Talos 10:45, December 11, 2007

I don't have the Wiki knowledge to add this directly to the article, but the Spirit Precipice sometimes damages you during battle:

"A bolt of evil energy arcs out of Spirit Precipice and hits you in the arm" or elbow or whatever

I think its about every 3 turns or so, and right now I'm taking 13 - 26 HP damage, but I don't know if that's stat related or what.--Yggi D 00:31, 16 August 2006 (CDT)

Yeah, I've been getting the same message and don't have a clue on how to properly add it, but I've been always taking it at the end of battle. Probably a reference to the soul edge from soul calibur draining health constantly. --Sabel4 08:19, 16 August 2006 (CDT)

I did a little more checking, it seems to attack me every time I make a critical hit. Makes sense, I suppose. On one hand, ow. On the other, critical-hit LTS fills me with delicious warm goodness. --Yggi D 14:35, 16 August 2006 (CDT)

Does anyone know what happens with a critical hit while wearing the Clockwork Apparatus?--Linkman95 16:42, 24 August 2006 (CDT)

Judging from the writeup on the Clockwork stuff, I'd say it'd have no effect--the Clockwork Apparatus works with fumbles, not hits. Of course, if something's in the code that alters that, it'd turn this into one NASTY item.Qaianna 01:13, 28 July 2007 (CDT)

I found out that yes, the damage is stat related, but only related to the maximum HP. I lowered my HP, and, it damaged me less! (before, it was 15-26 damage, and then, it became 12-18 damage)--Civilizati 3 15:46, 26 August 2006 (CDT)

  • What was your Max HP at each time? Maybe we could spade this out a bit more... --InvalidUser 04:01, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

I used it, dealing about 1000 damage/hit, max hp 1300, and it dealt me 700 damage each time.--Eniteris 13:51, 1 March 2008 (CST)

Seems to be doing kickback equal to damage dealt now. --Kira Light 12:30, 4 March 2008 (CST)

Coincidences, not References

  • also looks kinda like dark eye the sword from adventure quest online
  • That game rips everything off ;P --Damuna 13:39, 12 October 2006 (CDT)
    • It probably stole it from Soul Calibur as well. --InvalidUser 04:01, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Kickback was changed

Needs spading. --Naughty Sorceress Apprentice 09:56, 8 March 2008 (CST)

  • Looks more like a bug or something that was caused by some other change (forums suggest some recent change with the vampire cape?). The feedback damage is way too high now to make this weapon useful to anyone. In other words, it's not balanced and I can't see how this change was intentional. --Shoptroll 10:22, 10 March 2008 (CDT)

This was unintentional and is supposedly fixed now. --Lostcalpolydude 19:40, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
