From what was being said in chat, there are 2 tiers: equipment and consumables. The equipment would seem to be the higher tier (I recieved an equipment and definitely spent over 200 turns planting seeds last Arrrbor day). --Glitterboy.

  • On my main I'll plant 100 and on my multi, 150, and we'll see what happens next kol year. Maybe others should try 125, or 75, multiples of 11, or 11^2 (121), and one above/below that, etc. Just remember that Timbarrrr! and Stumped probably don't count as planting trees. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 00:26, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

    • Upped myself to 75. Clannie has a couple of multis at 101. I'll have my multis set to...something else when I get around to adventuring with them. And, to state it explicitly on the talk page, I planted a single sapling last time and got nothing. Looking below, it looks like you have to plant either 2 or 3 saplings to get the usable.   • I have no recollection of how many adventures I spent last year (more than enough, apparently), but this time I planted exactly 41 trees, 40 being the number of turns typically added at rollover (as well as the expected number of turns for satisfying the daily bounty hunter request).   • If you plant two types of saplings, can you get the stumped adventure more than once? Cause if you have great food/drink, and you're at a full 200 beforehand, with the current range of Y, you could theoretically get 100 turns each of all 3 types, I would think...and for that matter, are there any that don't mention actually planting a sapling, and don't count towards Y? --Jimfromtx 04:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Results from Arrrbor Day II

  • planted 20/40/60/80/100 Crochety Pine on multis in July, 80 or less got the consumable, 100 got pants. Edited main article to reflect this. Will be planting 85/90/95/99 crochety pine this time, as well as 99 maple on the one who got pants. --Ailuro Dragon 04:17, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Levio planted exactly 100 on Arrrbor day III (October 6, 2008). Will post back after Arrrbor day IV (January 7, 2009) if I get the equipment or not, enough 100's getting equipment will prove there is no random chance involved.

Y is 100. I planted exactly 99 on a multi last Arrrbor Day and got a lump of Saccharine Maple sap. I think the problem with people "planting 100 or 101 and not getting anything" is that they were counting the adventure where you choose a sack and the reward adventure as "adventures spent in the Arrrboretum". You have to spend 100 adventures planting saplings. Those 2 adventures don't count, since you don't plant any saplings in them. So if you got a reward, that's 102 total adventures there, otherwise 101 total adventures there. --Glitterboy 1:40, 11 January 2009 (EST)

It's weird. I actually spent exactly 100 adventures on the last Arrrbor day and only got the Maple saplings. Bug? (Note: I precisely tested this; 100 adventures not counting the first one where I got the seed bag.) --Unnamed Hobo 07:15, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

The results seem well-spaded already, I just thought it would be good to have some sort of mention that you don't actually have to visit on the next chronological Arrrbor Day, but you get the Stumped adventure on the next Arrrbor Day that you visit the Arrrboretum. Also that you can ascend in between Arrrbor Days without affecting it. I planted my saplings way back on Arrrbor Day I and for various reasons was only able to get back there today, on number IV. I was most thankful to find out that I got the outfit piece, rather than nothing. --MTPockets 19:06, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
