Talk:Tomb rat king
Are the tomb ratchets conditional? —Preceding unsigned comment added by NeoTrup (talk • contribs) on 18:50, 1 November 2010
- It would appear not. There are reports of divine crackers successfully producing a ratchet versus them. However, the king is boss-type when it comes to He-Boulder rays, meaning you cannot get major rays against him, and thus can't insta-disintegrate him for an easy 3 ratchets. --Flargen 08:34, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Would someone finally spade this one so that it can be beaten?!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by LMTR14 (talk • contribs) on 12:02, 10 January 2011
- If I remember correctly, it has 300 HP. It shouldn't be too hard to get things nailed down. Someone just needs to go in there with some tangles and the dwarven uniform. And the tangles are actually surprisingly cheap. With them being both ascension-limited and ascension relevant you'd think they'd be higher priced. But I guess not. I can probably do this later tonight. --Flargen 21:04, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, attack/def part of uniform don't trigger when you change the monster to a king, so that was more annoying that I thought. Attack might be different from the 352 I listed. I just used that I was always getting 88 substats per fight to infer 352. Hypothetically the attack could be decoupled from that, and the stat gains are fixed. Would be fairly symmetric for 350 to be the right value. --Flargen 06:24, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
FYI, the tomb rat king is a reference to Terry Pratchett's "The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents" (for anyone who wants to add it to the page - I'm too lazy).--Jillybean 04:34, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- What's your evidence? I've never read that, but these don't seem educated. This looks like it should have the same ref as the Drunken rat king to me: a ref to the standard rat king of myth and lore. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:37, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Huh, my apologies! The only place I'd ever heard of a rat king was the aforementioned novel - I didn't actually think they existed... (feel free to delete this thread if needed).--Jillybean 02:19, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
i don't know if this is mentioned elsewhere, but if you use rock band flyers on a tomb rat then throw the tangle of rat tails at it, you can use another flyer on the rat king. Two flyers for one fight.--Dessalvara 07:32, 7 October 2011 (CEST)
