Odd "part" usage

  • In one of the spinner's attacks, {{part}} is used twice - but the second "part" is always the same as the first "part." I don't know how to replicate this via the wiki tools we have. Any ideas? I'll just edit the message to reflect that the second part is always the same as the first, but we should concoct something better than a Band-Aid for it.--Dorf (t|c) 12:12, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

  • The fire damage does not last the whole combat it will deal 40 something damage then around 20 something then around 10 at witch point you will pat it out.--Error1 20:39, 4 July 2007 (CDT)

It seems likely that this is the 'unknown' critical hit. In any case, I'm not sure whether this is intentional, but one of these hit me and started dealing 'on fire' damage the next round, and the other started immediately. Identical stats, etc. both times.

I've had the wait-until-next-round happen when he got the jump on me. On a different topic, I haven't seen them do the special twice in the same combat, even when I plinked for another dozen rounds. Is it possible this is a once-per-adventure thing? --Pastangum 19:19, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Addendum: he just hit me with the 'remember when you used to have eyebrows?' attack, through 233 Moxie (and no ML modifiers). Possible candidate for the critical. --Pastangum 21:03, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

On Fire

This is my data from 2 accounts over about 1.5 days (I know it's not a large sample, but the results are quite informative)(results are organized by enemy, then damage done per round).

A tiny bit of calculation will show you that the damage inflicted is 40-50 on the first round, and 3/5 or .6 (always rounded down) of the previous round every round after the first round of combat. Furthermore, you do not always 'pat out the flames' after the fourth round of having this effect. In 4 battles, the effect lasted 5 rounds (again, I know it's small sample, but a pattern has been established). I'm pretty sure that the effect lasts until the damage received is less than 10. Fortunately, due the damage always being rounded down, this only happens if the initial damage is 49 or 50.--Knobula 23:11, 14 May 2008 (CDT)
