Staves are weapons that can be found throughout the Kingdom. They are primarily used by Pastamancers and Saucerors since spellcasters benefit from the bonus Mysticality and spell damage enchantments which most staves possess.

Staves come in many different flavors, including meat, linoleum and astronomical. There is even an item that came from a Crimbo stocking which can be smithed into a festive holiday staff.

The most powerful staves are the fabled chefstaves, which can only be created by Rodoric, the Staffcrafter in The League of Chef-Magi. Each crafting requires many esoteric components (and some tasty snacks for Rodoric.) The greatest chefstaves grant huge, percentage-based spell damage increases and other elemental enchantments. However, to wield the mystic powers of a chefstaff, a would-be spellslinger must first learn the Spirit of Rigatoni or protect themselves with a special sauce glove.
